Education management professionals can also work in government agencies, private companies and non-profit organizations. Personnel engaged in education management can act as policy makers, researchers or consultants to help assess and develop ways to enrich and strengthen education systems at all levels. Most education management professionals receive at least a master's degree, many of whom are licensed teachers or principals.
Importance of educational management
Management theory is an aid to good management, not an alternative to it. The same is true of the role of education management. Every student is different and every school is different. The concept of division of labor in the organization: School leaders can better position teachers in the right places where they are qualified to teach. Decentralization and respect for subordinates are essential. In addition, they will be able to influence the teacher's policy implementation. Theory will never work as the textbook claims. Sharing a common theoretical approach is a good way to coordinate the actions of new teams with different backgrounds and experiences. It can be a good starting point, but you must evaluate the results of applying the theory and then prepare to remove or modify the theoretical elements that do not work in your particular situation. The Educational theory provides models through which observers can understand the practices and activities of managers at different levels of the education system. Theory can serve as a blueprint for education management observers and participants. Best practices are usually tailored to specific situations. The theory allows for some generalization and explains why some practices do so. In this way, practice-driven theory helps managers understand how to adopt practices to new situations. Educational practice and educational theory are interdependent. Ideally, in any organization, you want people to collaborate in a consistent, logical, and systematic way. In addition, it is recommended that school administrators adopt all theories that are most appropriate. School leadership should not adhere to a theory in their practice.
