Wenzhou Medical College
Wenzhou Medical University is an ordinary higher education institution in Zhejiang Province. The school is traceable to the Zhejiang Medical College founded in 1912. In August 1958, Zhejiang Medical College moved from Hangzhou to Wenzhou. It was first named “Zhejiang Second Medical College” and was named “Wenzhou Medicine”. In 2013, it was renamed as “Wenzhou Medical University”. In 2015, it became a government of Zhejiang Province, the National Health and Family Planning Commission and the Ministry of Education. In 2017, it became a key university in Zhejiang Province.
In 1958, the school began to enroll five-year undergraduate students. In 1978, it enrolled graduate students.
