Sichuan Technology and Business College is the Sichuan province' first independently upgraded public full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning, belonging to the Sichuan provincial economic and information commission and formerly known as the national key technical secondary school in Sichuan Province, the light industrial school, was founded in 1959. College is a provincial demonstrative vocational college in Sichuan Province. It’s the advanced units of Ministry of education, provincial and municipal vocational education, the advanced collective of national light industrial system, advanced unit of national sports and health work, the best civilized unit of Sichuan Province. College is located in Juyuan new district，Dujiangyan City，Chengdu, Sichuan which is about one-hour drive from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport and center area of Chengdu.

The existing staff of College is more than 500 people, including 29 professors, 104 associate professors, and hired industry experts and skilled craftsmen as part-time teachers. Opened more than 40 professions, built a central-financial-support training base (small construction mode) , launched the pilot of 1 profession reform in national vocational education, 3 professions reform in Sichuan province higher vocational education and constitute 3 provincial excellent teaching team; College Curriculum Center has constructed more than 230 courses, and there are 5 provincial courses and 18 college excellent resource sharing courses are constructing.

The college has more than 8770 students, mainly for three year Vocational College (for high school, secondary vocational school graduates), as well as General Vocational College of adult education; the third grade students through top-up examination into the corresponding undergraduate learning; There are college scholarships for students and also implement the part-time-work and part-time-study system to assistant and reward those who are excellent in personality and learning but from economically disadvantaged families. The college has the national occupation skill appraisal institute, graduates of "double certificate" acquisition rate reached more than 98%, have many times awarded by the Education Department of Sichuan province as the advanced units for its employment rate and the welcome by employers.
